In the myths, using this dagger adds insult to injury. In one slash, Kronus castrated and deposed his father, Uranus.
The Dagger of Kronus is the kind of weapon an assassin should be salivating over. It may not have the pure brawling capabilities of the Mallet of Everlasting Flame, but it serves a sneaky assassin well. The dagger has bonuses for warrior damage, making it capable in hand to hand combat. But the real kicker is the massive bonus to damage when you attack from behind. In fact, it is #1 on our list for the Top 10 Best Daggers in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The only problem is you’ll have to take out a high-level member of the Eyes of Kosmos to get it. Keep reading the Nerds and Scoundrels Dagger of Kronos guide to discover where to find the Dagger of Kronos in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
The Dagger of Kronos
Required Level: 33
Base DPS: 1294
+15% Warrior Damage
+15% Damage with Daggers
+40% Damage when Attacking from Behind
First off, this is arguably the best dagger in the game. It has the highest base DPS of any dagger in the game. But what makes the Dagger of Kronos really stand out is the incredible +40% bonus when you attack from behind. This opens a lot of doors for one-shot killing dangerous enemies. You can practice using Perfect Dodge to work your way behind enemies in open combat, allowing you to unleash that tasty bonus damage. If the assassin play style is for you, this dagger is probably your best case scenario.
Where to find the Dagger of Kronos in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
To obtain the Dagger of Kronos, you will need to track down Nyx the Shadow. An unassuming member of the Eyes of Kosmos, Nyx can be found in the Heights of Thorikos. You will need to take out several other cultists to get to her; simply follow along with the progression tree on the Cultist screen.
How to Unlock the Dagger of Kronos
To unlock the Dagger of Kronos, you need only to kill Nyx the Shadow and loot her body. You will obtain the dagger along with other riches from the loot.
Nyx is a tough adversary. However, her role in the cult requires her to hide in plain sight. You will find her simply going about her business in the city as opposed to being flanked by an army of lackeys. This will allow you to easily sneak attack her from behind. Depending on your build, you can drop most of her health with one well-timed attack. However, you’ll need to be specced and equipped for a fight as you are unlikely to assassinate her. Nyx has a very dangerous sliding slash attack that can knock you down and be difficult to avoid.
