Just Cause 4 Operation Windwalker Walkthrough
Ready for your plan to come together perfectly? Well, pump the brakes a bit. Just as you and the crew are ready to commandeer a tornado and launch it at your enemies, the Black Hand gets wise to your plan. Your plan only works if the wind cannons are destroyed; otherwise the Black Hand will simply use them to deflect the tornado back at you. Your troops have been in control of the wind cannons, but now the Black Hand is launching an attack to take them back. Clearly they know what you’re up to. While the rest of your crew carries out the plan, you’ll need to secure the wind cannons. To start, just follow the waypoints to the wind cannons. When you arrive, the facility is already overrun with Black Hand.
Destroy the first wind cannon.
Then destroy the second one. Once you clear this site, you’ll learn that there is a final wind cannon on the other side of the cannon. Follow the waypoints to get there. You’ll find the final wind cannon in a mine on the other side of the valley.
Once you kill the final wind cannon, you’ll hear over the radio that the tornado is heading down the pass and it almost to you. It’s time to get in the stormchaser and drive.
Drive The Stormchaser
For the next part of this mission, Cesar will need to collect data from the tornado while you drive the stormchaser. The catch? You pretty much need to be right on top of the tornado to get the data. Hop into the stormchaser and follow that tornado!
Follow the tornado as best you can. If you get too far from the tornado, the mission will fail. While there are Black Hand motorcycles chasing you, the bigger threat is debris that can knock you off course. Then, the tornado just changes course. Uh oh! Looks like the Black Hand has more wind cannons!
Destroy the Wind Cannons, Again
Follow the waypoints to the Black Hand base. There, you will find four wind cannons. Frag them all to continue the mission. When you are done, you’ll get a message that Cesar and the stormchaser are surrounded Get to him quickly. As you approach, you’ll be able to see the health bar from the stormchaser at a distance. If you aren’t fast enough, he can die before you arrive. Once you get on the scene you’ll realize there are only a handful of hostiles shooting at him. Clear them out and then it’s on to the next!
The tornado is down decimating the town thanks to your own wind cannon doing the work. The Black Hand sends forces to attack your wind cannon, and it’s up to you to fend them off until reinforcements can arrive.
Defend the Wind Cannon
Your WInd Cannon is on a nearby roof. Get there as soon as possible, as it will begin taking damage immediately. When you arrive, hostiles are crawling on the roof. You’ll need to fend off Black Hand bad guys while the Feeding Tornado bar fills up.
When you first arrive you’ll have some friendlies with you and the hostiles will be on food. They increase in number and your friends die off as time wins down. When the bar is about half full, Black Hand helicopters start showing up. Once the bar fills up, it’s time to get the core from the center of the tornado.
The Eye of the Tornado
The drone responsible for managing this tornado was always the prize; you need its ion core to proceed. That means your last step is diving into the eye of the tornado. Grabbing the core from the drone ends the tornado and completes the mission.
