FFXIV patch 5.5 is extremely dense, and has a ton of additional content for you to explore. If you want the full Shadowbringers experience, you’ll probably want to consider The Sorrow of Werlyt. This questline is extremely useful for gathering high-level weaponry so that you can keep up with content far beyond what simple crafted items can give you. Our guide to FFXIV Duty in the Sky with Diamond will help you find out what you need to do to complete this really good questline.

Duty in the Sky with Diamond FFXIV

Duty in the Sky with Diamond is part of The Sorrow of Werlyt questline. These are also known as the Jeweled Weapons quest, because it requires you to perform the Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald weapon quests. These will give you the Cinder Drift and Castrum Marinum trials, as well. If you have not done both of these trials, then it is likely that you have not unlocked Duty in the Sky with Diamond yet. Head to the Resistance Officer at the Ala Mhigan Quarter after completing the main story to Shadowbringers. He should have a blue exclamation mark above his head, and give you either the Ruby Doomsday quest, or another quest along that line.

Spoiler alert!

Duty in the Sky With Diamond catches you up with M’naago and Gaius, who are working with the Resistance to help stop terrifying weapons. You must help Gaius pilot the G-Savior to take down this menace and help free Allie from her dangerous prison.

This is an important step towards decimating enemies with IL 525 weapons; great stuff, but not as high tier as you can get. Still, they tend to be easier to farm towards than the 535 stuff. Try it out if you like the more basic design of the Extreme trials, rather than Savage Normal Raids.

Good luck with taking down the Diamond Weapons!
